Still Standing is a documentary following the lives of George Saltz and Natalie K. Levant, two stand up comedians in their 80s, both of whom started stand up after their 80th birthday. What begins as a story about comedy becomes a deeper conversation about aging, mortality, and creative persistence, as we follow our subjects through the many challenges that come their way while they pursue their stand up dream.
Still Standing premiered at the 2021 Lower East Side Film Festival, where it screened along with a Q&A moderated by Tig Notaro, and went on to win the award for Best Documentary Short.

In this docuseries, Hamilton Morris -- son of Oscar-winning documentarian Errol Morris -- explores the history, chemistry and societal impacts of some of the world's most unique drugs. Hamilton's work is driven by research -- his apartment is filled with books on the subject -- but he takes it beyond that by going to where the drugs are used to experience them first-hand and find out what happens to the people who use the substances. On his journey, Hamilton studies quaaludes in South Africa, where they are the nation's most commonly used recreational drugs, and traces the history of PCP while traveling across America to speak with addicts, dealers and chemists about the substance.

Honing their skills at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, this troupe wowed the crowd at the 2006 U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, which soon led to the creation of this series that pushed the envelope of cable-TV sketch comedy for five seasons. Cast members Trevor Moore, Zach Cregger, Sam Brown, Darren Trumeter and Timmy Williams leave no comedy taboo unexplored (Adolf Hitler makes frequent appearances), and pepper the proceedings with an ample amount of sexual innuendo, violence and salty language. While some viewers may consider the skits in bad taste, others will applaud the quintet's subversive take on the edgy subject matter and the cheerful aplomb of their performances.
Sleeping Alone is a 13-minute comedic thriller that follows Andy, a newly single woman from the city, as she attempts to enjoy a night of housesitting in the countryside. Over the course of the evening, her minor fears about sleeping in a house by herself begin to mount, forcing her to take increasingly extreme actions.

HBO adds to its staple of late-night talk/comedy series with this entry starring Wyatt Cenac. The comic/writer explores a wide range of social and cultural issues facing Americans, using satire to tackle tough topics and investigate real-world solutions. Each episode features documentary-style field reports as its focal point. The segments allow Cenac to travel to suburban, downtown and rural parts of the country, where he talks with locals about systematic problems and offers comedic solutions to everyday inconveniences. In addition, the host engages an in-studio audience with commentary on current events. Cenac is a former writer and correspondent on "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart," where he earned three Emmy Awards.
